Rt Hon Hugo Swire MP addresses guests at the Falkland Islands Goverment Reception at Lincoln’s Inn

The annual reception for friends of the Falkland Islands, hosted by the Falkland Islands Government’s representative in London Ms. Sukey Cameron MBE, was held in the Great Hall of Lincoln’s Inn on 10 June 2014. Guests included Members of Parliament,  four previous Governors, two CBFs, the Bishop for the Falklands, senior representatives of the Armed Forces, officials from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and other Whitehall Departments, plus of course Falkland Islanders, friends of the Falkland Islands and members of the Falkland Islands Association. The address by the FCO Minister, the Rt. Hon. Hugo Swire MP, (click here for full text) was roundly applauded for its strong messages of support for the Islanders’ right to self-determination.
