Postcard link to the 1914 Naval battles

Anyone following the history of the naval battles of the Falklands and Coronel, Chile in 1914 will be interested in an article by Albert-Friedrich Gruene that appeared in Stamp News Australasia (Vol. 60 no:12 dated December 2013). Some excellent research by the author traced the origins of the writer of a postcard sent from the SMS Gneisenau after the battle of Coronel.
